In post-liberation South Vietnam, there were very few domestic wire and cable manufacturers. The government decided to halt the import of electrical wires and cables, creating opportunities for domestic enterprises to research and develop.
In the early 1990s, at a small 500m² workshop, Ngoc Lan Cable was established by a group of mechanical engineers and electrical wire production technicians. This made us one of the first wire and cable manufacturers in South Vietnam.
During the early stages of wire and cable manufacturing, the entire production line – from conductor casting and rolling to finished products – required multiple processes across different manufacturing facilities. The company’s leadership gradually optimized equipment and imported additional high-tech machinery from Europe. From this point forward, Ngoc Lan Cable has maintained complete control over the production process and quality standards, from raw materials to finished products.
1992
• Established the first Ngoc Lan Manufacturing Facility in Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City.
• The first Ngoc Lan Cable logo was created, marking a significant milestone in brand identity.
1999
• Expanded production with a new factory in District 12.
2002
• Ngoc Lan Private Manufacturing Enterprise was established with an initial charter capital of 2 billion VND.
2006
• Increased charter capital from 2 billion VND to 4.9 billion VND.
• Received ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System certification from QMS organization.
2009
• Expanded with a second factory in Cu Chi District, covering over 13,000 m².
• Increased charter capital to 29.9 billion VND.
Along with rebranding after 22 years of establishment, Ngoc Lan Cable has taken initial steps to expand into the Southeast Asian market, intensifying the export of power cables to neighboring countries.
2010
• Expanded exports to Laos and Cambodia.
2011
• Received ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System certification from QMS organization.
2013
• The Science and Technology Organization under the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality – Ministry of Science and Technology (QUATEST 3) issued conformity certification for various types of electrical cables.
2014
• Completed the initial phase of expanding capacity and optimizing production through modern equipment for new processes.
• Redesigned the logo, focusing on building brand identity and recognition with customers.
2016
• Expanded exports to the Myanmar market.
Embarking on a new goal with the spirit of “venturing into the big sea,” Ngoc Lan Cable expanded exports to the Australian market.
To meet the stringent standards of these markets, Ngoc Lan Cable has invested significantly in developing high-voltage testing laboratories that meet European standards.
2017
• Transitioned from Ngoc Lan Private Manufacturing Enterprise to Ngoc Lan Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
• Received ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System certification from QMS organization.
2018
• Began production of solar cables (Solar Cable EN 50618) for solar panel systems.
2020
• Expanded exports to the Australian market.
2021
• Completed the second high-voltage cable testing facility, AC Resonance Haefely 75kV-1000KVA.
2022
• Received a commendation from the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
• Increased charter capital to 59.9 billion VND.
2023
• Connected with partners in the Southeast Asian region and accelerated the development of manufacturing and commercial processing.

The new logo not only possesses high aesthetic value but also enhances brand recognition, making it more suitable for media platforms and strengthening our competitive position in the market.
In 1992, initiating our brand identity logo, we drew inspiration from the abbreviation of Ngoc Lan, creating a minimalist design with balanced red “NL” characters, bold typography, encircled by a yellow background.
The logo symbolized strength, representing the company’s continuous aspiration for development.
In 2014, marking a significant milestone in our brand development journey, Ngoc Lan Cable underwent its first logo redesign. The circle surrounding the NL characters (abbreviation of Ngoc Lan), combined with the harmonious blend of three distinctive colors in the electrical cable industry: blue, yellow, and red, along with angular shapes, represented strength, professionalism, and continuous innovation.
For over 30 years, this logo has become a familiar symbol accompanying Ngoc Lan Cable products, affirming our market position.
In 2024, alongside our determination to “venture into the big sea,” Ngoc Lan Cable has made a bold transformation with a new logo.
The modern design features robust typography and sophisticated colors, retaining but streamlining the upward-moving “NL” characters, not only affirming professionalism and reliability but also symbolizing continuous growth and forward progress.
The removal of the limiting circle and the use of Vietnam’s national flag colors have created a powerful symbol, expressing our aspiration to break geographical boundaries and elevate the Vietnamese brand to international standards.
